I’m a creative and a scholar who believes philosophy is as important in today’s technology-filled world as it was during Ancient Greece and Mesopotamia. I aim to make the dense concepts of philosophy accessible to the public and applicable to the problems of today’s world. Long-form writings are there for those who want all the nitty gritty, but I also release companion papers called “NN Digests” which distill my complex papers to their core insights. I think we do philosophy a disservice if we don’t actively discuss with one another, so please share your thoughts, questions, and disagreements in the comments!

Nate’s Noggin’s primary purpose is to get the public to think more critically about emerging technologies and explore questions like: How should we govern the internet? Does new-age surveillance make genuine relationship building impossible? Do new technologies augment, inhibit, or create new civil liberties? How is AI transforming democracy and interaction with the internet? In addition to philosophical arguments on new technologies, Nate’s Noggin provides glosses on current tech policy developments and their implications, general philosophy discussion, and paper and book reviews.
